“April 22, 2025 – Welcoming a Guest Speaker (From the Job Hunting Seminar)”

To help realize the dream of “connecting Japan with the world,” we welcomed Mr. Ryuichiro Ide from NICO・JAPAN co.ltd, a company that widely provides consulting services to local governments and businesses for inbound tourism promotion. He spoke to us about Japan’s current situation and future potential, based on a variety of data and personal experiences.
Currently, Japan is seeing the highest number of foreign tourists in its history, as well as a record-high number of foreign residents. This not only brings economic benefits but also deepens the understanding and spread of culture and values.
To increase the number of people who want to visit Japan—and to turn them into repeat visitors—it is essential to clearly define who we are communicating with, what we are communicating, and how.
At the end of the session, we were given our final presentation project for this term:
“People travel in search of exciting experiences. Considering that foreign visitors are coming to see the Expo for various reasons, where in Japan should they go afterwards and what should they do to truly experience the charm of Japan? Propose and promote such a plan.”
As a team, we will brainstorm ideas, discuss them, and prepare for our presentation in June.
