2025.10.24 ”Welcoming a Guest Speaker (From the Job Hunting Seminar)”
On Friday, October 24, during the Job-Hunting Seminar class, we welcomed Ms. Mami Umetani and Ms. Ayumi Tsuyama from aiCUBE Co., Ltd.,（株式会社アイ・キューブ） who gave a lecture on the theme “Let’s Learn About Marketing!”
In their lecture, they explained the importance of “marketing,” which is essential for market research and product development in companies, using real-life examples to make it easy to understand.
They introduced methods such as quantitative research (like surveys) and qualitative research (like group interviews), and taught the importance of maintaining a mindset that always asks “Why?”
For the students, it was a valuable opportunity to think about how to apply what they have learned in class to the real world and to deepen their own perspectives.
As the final presentation assignment for this term, students were given the theme:
“Research what is currently popular among young people in Hong Kong, select one trend, analyze why it is popular, and propose a concept combining young people × Japanese restaurants.”
Keeping in mind the importance of pursuing the question “Why?” as taught in the lecture, each team will brainstorm ideas, discuss them, and prepare for the presentation in December.
