2023.12.18 Disaster prevention class (Job Hunting Seminar)
In Japan, where there are many disasters, we’d like students to acquire disaster prevention knowledge and awareness. In order to properly learn about the mechanisms and disaster prevention knowledge of earthquakes, typhoons, storm surges, floods, tsunamis, etc., we toured the “Tsunami and Storm Surge Station” near the school. Although they understood it conceptually after studying in advance, but their understanding deepened after seeing video materials from the time of the disaster, a diorama where you can experience the actual height of the tide, and images of tsunamis. Sharp questions regarding the height and system of the seawall also arose. Many students said that they would like to be able to deal with the situation calmly as members of society and businesses.
