2023.03.01 Job Hunting Seminar
On March 1st, we invited a Japanese student to join us for a case study based on real-life examples in the “Understanding Cross-Cultural” class in the business class. We watched the video together, reflected and discussed about the types of things that lead to mutual discomfort in the daily work of the company. Also, in imagining how foreign employees, Japanese bosses, and coworkers feel, we began to see what the problem was. Talking to a Japanese person we first met made us realize if the “polished Japanese” we’ve always studied would work in a business. We were nervous, but we felt it was a wonderful experience.
