2026.7.23 ”Welcoming a Guest Speaker (From the Job Hunting Seminar)”
This semester, we welcomed Mr. Motoyoshi Yasukawa, who has spent many years in corporate management consulting as a versatile human resources consultant, helping companies solve a wide range of issues, from recruitment and employee development to organizational challenges.
After graduating from university, Mr. Yasukawa spent many years working in human resources and recruitment at Recruit Co., Ltd., a well-known HR and staffing company. He later entered the printing industry, which was considered to have a difficult future, where he took on the challenge of launching new businesses. He shared the hardships he faced, how he continually reflected on his own strengths, what he wanted to accomplish, and how he could contribute to society. These reflections eventually led him from human resources consulting into management consulting. During the COVID-19 pandemic, through a fortunate connection, he also founded the music platform ‘Otogura Kansai,’ where he supports young musicians who will shape the future and promotes regional revitalization through music. His story was truly full of challenges and remarkable experiences.
His stories about overcoming setbacks and failures, the lessons he learned, the insights he gained, and how all of those experiences ultimately led him to dedicate himself to revitalizing people and local communities deeply resonated with the young international students who are preparing for their futures.
The assignment he gave us is to develop ideas on the theme, ‘How Can Today’s Young Musicians Expand into the Global Market?’ Although there are limitations on time and budget, students are encouraged to think freely, develop creative strategies and ideas, organize them into a proposal, and deliver a team presentation in September.
